As we work on various projects, we have found the need for some generic tools that crop up again and again. Where these needs have not been met by frameworks, or third party code, we have initiated our own projects. We make these projects available to the general public in the spirit of Open Source.

jQueryDates

JavaScript's support for dates is comprehensive, but only at a very low level. jquery.dates is a JavaScript library that provides date related functions that are common in other programming languages, but lacking in JavaScript. These functions allow quick and easy date manipulation and validation.

FixedTable

Some applications require a table that has a fixed header row. This can be accomplished with CSS. However, some applications also require an arbitrary number of fixed columns. This is not currently feasible given plain HTML and CSS. The FixedTable project was developed to meet this need. It utilizes jQuery and CSS to convert a standard table definition (with THEAD, TBODY, TFOOT sections) into a table with fixed headers/columns.
